"Where in Southeast"

Where in Southeast - 8/10/2008

Holly

We are in our 50's currently living in the Virgin Islands. Cost of living is forcing us to return to the states, but where? We enjoy our outdoor life style - kayaking, snorkeling, swimming. We are in a culturally diverse and friendly area - it is expected that you will greet everyone that you pass on the street. We would like another community that reflects these traits. We are not interested in "cookie cutter homes". Would like access to airport to see grandchildren, enjoy live theater, don't care about sports, golfing or tennis but love water - river, real lakes (not mud puddles), creeks and of course the ocean. We are thinking of Beaufort, SC or small town in FL - Mount Dora is one that we are considering. Tell me where you think we should consider.
