Considering a move from California

My boyfriend and I are considering a move from California to the Austin area. I have heard good things about Round Rock and Cedar Park. I know Round Rock has some good schools. We were also considering the Lakeway area. Does anyone know anything about these areas? My boyfriend is in the automotive field...does anything know anything about that field? Whether it is good or bad? I would like an area thats affordable but has lots of trees and greenery, but is also safe. Thanks. Feel free to email me. Thanks!
