12/22/09 a medium house price of 140k, annual property taxes $2,300 and high insurance due to hurricane zone of $1,500. Sales tax 6.4%, no state income tax, unemployment rate at 10% poor pay for professional jobs and minium wage for unskilled labor. nice annual weather except for the heat/humidity in july and august, plenty of lakes, rivers, parks and next to the atlantic, abundant outdoor activities, nothing much for arts or professional sports, except daytona nascar complex, large (50,000 plus) motorcycle rallies in March and October, no hip neighboorhoods or plazas, various, mostly weekend night life, mainly for thoes under 40, lots of standard restaurants,average schools, minimum transit system.
