There's a lot going on in Lynchburg if you know where to look. has several performing arts organizations downtown. The Academy of Fine Arts (www.academyfinearts.com)has both community and nationally known groups. Pianist Gustavo Romero, Harlem Gospel Choir, Peking children's Circus, Mavis Staples, Jack Klugman and more. The Renaissance Theatre always has good plays in the round. E.C. Glass Theatre regularly presents great shows. And there are great classes at the Academy, Amazement Square, and Arts and Recreation.
