The Courts are wofully inept, prejudicail and incompetent (up north we call the Kangaroo Courts) to quote the State Judge "son we don't use rules here" no rules Society does not function period! Code Enforcement is a prejudicial branch of the local cronies. The Chamber of Commerce is ever power and ever present. If your from the North they'll fix your wagon, their solution is through the Court Clerk's Office they'll go after your Credit Score by means of untruthful entries into your credit report (Experian to be precise as it is a GA Company) you can easily get it removed from TransUnion & Equifax. DO NOT BUY anything here. I don't need the money and am now in the process of selling what I was stupid enough to have bought when I got here in 2004 for less then I purchased it for nine years ago. The locals don't have a pot to pee in nor a window to throw it out of. The Zoning Department is run by a woman who does as she pleases for the locals and circumvents pulic hearing and due notice. If you can figure out the laws, procedures and legal objections they attack you personally. They have now adopted (loosely put) the Nothern Codes and Policies (Unified Land Development Code, Burn, Noise Ordinaces but believe m they are prejudicially applied if your a Yankee they're in place to be used against you if your a local they aren't applicable. I've sen enough your best friend in Valdosta GA is a fence fully surrounding your property with a chain and locked gate even then watch you dogs these people will do their level best "to fix your wagon" and not only get even if they could figure out how to get ahead they would but now that involves using your back as their first step. Fair warning your just a few miles from the Florida State Line, heading south, and I cannot see any reason not to keep on going! Just watch your speed as there ar cops, troopers and sherriffs on bridges and in medians looking to take the few dollars you have in a bank or pocket and make it their's! Speaking of which why have they built so many banks when the locals have no money to put therein? Moreover why the shopping centers and restaurants when no one here can afford a food stamp? Besides that the locals are terribly dirty people so I wouldn't eat in a local restaurant. I drive into Florida to dine out as do most other Northerns I've met around here. Most Northerners don't make it they buy, immediately sell and leave so save yourself the time and aggravation aside from the losses.... keep on going! If you stick around make sure you drive a pick up truck don't useblinkers and wear a ball cap or camoflage so you do not attract attention and that gos for ladies as well as men. Take one look around and you'll notice the genetics here aren't bad if your looking for a cross between a smurf & one of the seven dwarfs...
