I moved to Wamego from Wichita, Kansas. I will never, ever, EVER live in a big city again! Wamego has the warmth, and compassion of a true community neighborhood. My kids can walk from one side of town to the other after dark, without my having to worry about their safety. The schools still listen to parent concerns - and neighbors still watch out for neighbors. We have most everything we need; a hospital, convenience stores, gas stations, churches, grocery store, fast food and sit-down restaurants. Plus the best 4th of July celebration in Kansas!
