Quality of life in Northern Virginia is very good as compared to other places we've lived. With few execeptions, will not have a problem with the Northern Virginia area. Shopping selections, mass transit, culture, diversity are all pluses. The negatives are cost of housing, commute times, and a changing demographic make up. While McLean, Virginia is a lovely part of northern virginia it is very difficult to commute in this region, especially if you are going into DC. I live 10 miles from my office. My commute is usually close to an hour.[read more...]
