gasoline vs. jobs - 10/9/2008 |
|
|
| the tourist economy has fallen apart, major layoffs state wide. All major airlines getting close to pulling out of west coast market. Aloha and ATA both went out of business in 2008. none the less food and gasoline prices rising rapidly with no end in sight. I have been here for 33 years, own my home, but I'm getting out asap. Due to county government interference, small businesses have little or no chance of success. International/Asian tourism is very slow in Hawaii. I believe Hawaii has priced itself out of Tourism. Agriculture died here 10 years ago...Where will the jobs be if no tourism no agricultue...GONE
