Below you will find all the SperlingViews added about this city.
| A lot of growth - 8/4/2007
There are many new houses built, as well as many older places available for rent. Cheaper than most places, but the foreclosures have risen recently.

| University Town - 8/4/2007
Greeley boasts a four-year university known for teaching, music, nursing and business; a community college; a high school with the International Baccalaureate program. Those who grow up here either stay here the rest of their lives or can’t wait to leave.

| Bedroom community - 8/4/2007
Greeley has been one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. Though it is a bedroom community. Most local job growth is in the service industry.

| Not much to do here - 8/4/2007
There are many city parks and shopping, but for other entertainment you need to drive to nearby cities. Greeley has a good symphony and theater. A significant portion of the population is Hispanic and you can hear Spanish spoken throughout town.

| Thefts from autos and gangs a problem - 8/4/2007
There are definitely some places in town you don’t want to be after dark. Gangs are a problem. What has affected me personally has been break-ins to vehicles and vandalism.

| Cheap! - 8/4/2007
It is a cheap place to live. About every other place I’ve looked at on Sperling’s has a higher cost of living. A lower salary goes a long way here.

Greeley has a dry, sunny climate and all four seasons. I have been spoiled growing up here.

| Not impressed - 12/26/2006
I recently moved here from another state and I am throughly disappointed. When people talk about how beautiful CO is, they are not talking about this area. I have had nothing but problems since I got here. There are no jobs here. If you can speak Spanish, you are in good shape. A lot of the jobs require or strongly prefer bi-lingual workers. That is ridiculous. This city houses the worst school district in the state. There is no funding I guess and the kids don't even get there own books. They have to study in class and share there book with other srudents. One bonus is the cheap cost of living, which with the really crappy pay around here it is hard to even pay the cheap rent. This county also has the largest number of foreclosers I heard. I have been here for almost 3 months now and I am still waiting for assistance that I signed up for until we get on our feet and find good paying jobs. There appears to be not much of any help around here for disabled and poor people. Unless of course, you are an illegal immigrant.

| Greeley: Pros and Cons - 5/11/2006
I lived in Greeley for 6 years, I have my pros and cons about the town.
Pros: it is a pretty town, the people are very friendly, you are close
to both Denver and Fort Collins. The town has a low crime rate. Great
weather. Nice place to raise a family.
Cons: Greeley lacks for jobs, both professional and blue collar. The
town often stinks from the smell from the slaughterhouses. The town is
seriously lacking in the number of good rests. Greeley lacks the cultural
scene you'd get in a larger city like Denver.

| Greeley,CO - 4/15/2006
Greeley is a great place to raise a family. It is close to Denver, but not over-crowded. It is known as a cow-town, and still smells a bit like that, but quality of life is improving annualy.
