Nice little town - 11/13/2008
I have worked in El Segundo for 35 years, and lived here for 16. We moved here to find a friendly small-town atmosphere with good schools, and we have not been disappointed. Additionally, it has its own very nice library, plentiful public parks as well as public park activities for people of all ages: an indoor swimming pool, a senior citizen center, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, etc., and its own beach with an oceanside state park for RV's just north of it. Freeway accesibility begins with the 105 in El Segundo. It has the famous Old Town movie theater, a brand new giant shopping mall on its east side, a Pacific 16 theater complex near the mall, plentiful strip malls in town, multiple grocery stores, many nice little restaurants including a little 4-star Italian, the post office on Main Street, banks, drug stores; a very self-contained community.
