A Country Gem - 6/20/2020
Having grown up an “Angelino” and having a very suburban life in the SF Valley, we moved to a Sacramento suburb in mid 80s when it was still an undiscovered gem; I was a teen at the time. As a 40-something adult I moved with my husband & kids to Roseville, which we very much loved but the space was limited in between houses. We recently moved to Lincoln just outside city limits and THIS is where I want to stay! Lots of land available (we have 2.5 acres!), gorgeous country atmosphere, many mom & pop restaurants & shops in downtown Lincoln. We love the politics here and the small town, old tyme vibe here.
When my hubs & I married in ‘93, our friend lived here but there was nothing here but fields, and it seemed quite isolating. When the housing boom hit in approx ‘01, Lincoln as we now know it began to slowly develop. The internet & WiFi is slow, but it’s such a small inconvenience for living in a slice of heaven. We residents don’t want Lincoln to grow much more, as the Old Read More

very nice community - 1/12/2014
This is a little ranch and farm town just to the north east of Sacramento that several years ago found itself growing like a weed. The downtown area is like many small Midwestern towns, family owned stores and businesses in buildings of all manner and make. Some built long ago, some just growing a little long of tooth and some brand new. The neighborhoods range from older, low to middle income communities, to country club gated communities where you can find very expensive high income neighborhoods. Unusual for any community located close to the State Capital which is the head of the liberal snake, it is quite conservative politically and the residents tend to keep to their own business, yet are very friendly. The weather is almost perfect, with hot days, cool nights and little humidity in the summer and very moderate winter weather. Shopping of every need within 10 miles, adequate traffic management, great grocery options, with both local and national chains, a super hospital Read More

Wonderful Community - 10/12/2007
Lincoln has grown significantly in the Last 5 years. A lot of beautiful new developments and great communities. I believe, that Lincoln provides great value for money. Low crime, peaceful communities and neighborhoods. Still preserves its small town feel inspite of the growth.

If you are looking for a great place to raise a family and enjoy your home life, Lincoln is the place to go. It is a short drive to Sacramento and Folsom, next door to Rocklin and Roseville.

For people that live in the bay area and want to enjoy suburbia, Lincoln is the place for you. What can I say, great schools, wonderful neighbors and beautiful communities.

High cost, low return - 3/13/2007
The cost of living in Lincoln is nearly equal to Sacramento. The community is nice enough, but avoid certain parts near the railroad and highway 65. The nearest mall is 12 miles Read More

Yuck! - 5/21/2006
If you like living in a crowded overpriced area, Lincoln is for you!!! It's beginning to look like the bay area, three story apartments, and houses packed in next to each other. Not the area for me, I like space.
The stores can't keep the shelves stocked because there are too many people and not enough stores.

Oh, and California leaders are out of touch with the people they represent. They are very Read More
