Living in Covington - 10/22/2012
Covington is an amazing city with beautiful old homes, a rich history and just minutes away from Cincinnati Ohio and all the culture and wonderful events there. The property is value priced, the tax base is good and the city seems to really be trying to make something good happen. There is however a undercurrent of desperation fueled by rampant poverty and drug abuse here. Prostitution is an ongoing issue that along with heroin and crack cocaine seem to have the city by the throat. That being said the people I have as neighbors seem to be interested in rehabbing the community and I see a lot of folks here who seem to be willing to fight to retake the city from the drugs. I moved here from Florida and I am not sorry I did. A lot of good people Read More

Sad city - 6/7/2012
I grew in Covington an it used to be a great place to live but not anymoore , the crime rate is ridicoulis an herouin has taken the town over, downtown used to be booming an now it's a bit of a ghost town, however i have to say the people here are verry friendly an outgoing ,if you plan to move your family here please put your children in private school,as the only publick high school in Covington is full of problems as i'm sure a lot of other city schools are, it is sad what has happend to this town, especialy when you can go right over the bridge to Newport ,ky an see a town that actualy still cares about it's city.....so Read More

Northern Kentucky Real Estate - Covington, Ky. - 5/17/2010
Covington, Kentucky is a great place to live and work. Depending on what you do for work, Covington is a vibrant exciting city that sits directly on the Ohio River, looking at the beautiful downtown Cincinnati, Ohio skyline and many of the bridges that connect the 2 states..Ohio and Kentucky. Covington, a part of Northern Kentucky, is considered the southern side of Cincinnati, as it sits directly south of the city, just accross the Ohio river.

The housing market here in Covington has not been great the past 2+ years. There are single family homes...many considered historic, older than 100 years, as well as many condominium developments with amazing views of both Northern Kentucky and the downtown Cincinnati skyline. Now that we are halfway thru 2010, the real estate market is just starting to pick up...just starting. Hopefully we will see economic conditions get better, so that the housing market Read More

Not so bad - 11/11/2008
Alot of bad things are said about Covington, but it's really not a bad place to grow up in. If you like the urban feel, there are great neighborhoods in Covington. A lifelong resident, I love it and am glad to call it Read More

This neighborhood is a great place to loose what you value most. Have opaque shades over every window, get an alarm for your car and house, lock all doors even if only gone for 5 minutes to go to Blockbuster. The neighborhood isn't per say, dangerous to your health and personal safety. However, there does seem to be a really bad drug problem, unemployment rate etc.. which drives up Read More

Stay away if you got a choice - 3/29/2007
Covington Ky is not a good place to raise children or just live in general. The crime rate is equal to Louisville Ky with only having 1/6th the pop. that this much larger city has . If considering to move to a city in Ky take in mind my cautions I lived in Covington 25 years of my life and am so glad to have recently moved out. Just as a forwarning the city's nick name is C.O.V. standing for mulptiple things, two of those meanings are " City Of Violence" ( fitting it very well ) and "Crooks Outlaws and Villans" also being the case in C.O.V.! If you don't believe me find out for yourself but, this city has a crime rate of over double the nations avg. Speaks for itself Read More
