What is happening to Laurinburg? - 10/27/2007
I left Laurinburg as a young child and I returned as a young adult.
Laurinburg is going on a down hill slide at top rate speed.
For example get into your car and ride down West Blvd. people are walking or riding a bike. Ride down Lee's Mill Rd. you are maybe saying to your self where is that at? Well it is a road that runs right through as people say the wrong side of the tracks. It is a place where teenagers are killed accidentally by a drive-by-shootings. Where you can find a beggar almost on every corner. I will challange you to get in your car and take a ride around Scotland County,make sure you ride down main street and look at all of the businesses that are closed and buildings that are in dire need of restoration. You will see all to soon the poverty, depression, opression, drugs, beggars, bums,low income families, children every where riding bikes and walking with out a parent in sight. Laurinburg is a sad place, now! The joy has been taken and has been replaced
