"not the best part of town" - 9/22/2008
Hueytown is an affordable area of Birmingham, compared to most of the suburbs that are either 1) ridiculously overpriced and overcrowded, or 2) crime-ridden and unbearable. There is an established area of fast food restaurants and shops, as well as a multitude of churches. While the racial makeup of the area includes more blacks than the other decent suburbs, the neighborhoods are compiled of older homes with well-kept lawns and pleasant neighbors.[read more...] |
