My family has lived in Spanish Fort for almost 10 years now and we love it. Spanish Fort has the best schools in Baldwin County, beautiful homes and neighborhoods, plenty of new and developing shopping centers, and a great location. The town is perche on top of a bluff just north of I-10 which makes it an ideal location for families worried about hurricanes, we are high enough up that there are no problems with flooding or water damage, yet there are enough trees and hills that we are also protected from wind as well. There is also a lot of developing shopping centers featuring high-end retailers, car dealerships, and numerous hotels and restaurants. However, the location of these developments is such that it's separate from most resdintial areas so it improves the city's economy without compromising real estate values. And, like I said before, Spanish Fort has the best schools in Baldwin County, and they are leagues better than an of the schools in nearby Mobile. If you are moving to south Alabama the Spanish Fort is your ideal town with a great community and school system and ideal location.[read more...]
