Beautiful Summers, Slow Winters - 10/18/2007
Homer is really great in the summer. It has a variety of little restaraunts, cafes, and coffee shops to suit all tastes. There is an active outdoor recreation scene between kayaking, hiking, biking, and sport fishing (among a number of other activities). In the summer it doubles in life with tourists, making for a lively and sometimes crowded scene. In the winter everything slows down to zero.
