The Catlaina area (Saddlebrook / Oro Valley) was wonderful back in the 1970's and 1980's. As is typical with AZ, Developers ruined the community and problems are a reflection of over-developed areas. Poor public transportation and the cities' typical hiring of "consultants" who are actually thieves, is disgusting. We DO have a decent Sheriff's dept. once we got rid of a politician who hung around for over a decade. The new face of law enforcement is a great improvement.[read more...] |

Nice Place to Leave - 4/25/2007
Deeply regret moving here 10 yrs ago. Cost of living is high, over-inflated housing/rental market, traffic is horrible, pay is extremely low.

Love S. Az. climate - 1/30/2007
We live on the north side of the Catalina Mtns. close to Tucson but not so close that we have to endure the smog. Congestion is becoming a part of life out here as others discover what we did 13 years ago. While it is cooler here than Tucson in the winter it is also so for the summer. We have a great view of the mountains but the open areas are quickly disappearing.[read more...] |
