hiking - 8/11/2008
Here are several hiking spots in the surrounding areas in Tucson. The Sabino Canyon has several hiking trails that are safe and well marked. THere is a great place the Desert Museum on the west side of town. It is very scenic and is built to explore the desert animals and plant life. Lots of great volunteers walking around to answer questions and show off the plant life. During the summer they are open evening to see the animals in their native habitant walking around in the cooler air.[read more...] |

Catalina Foothills - 3/2/2007
I love it here! The beauty of the mountains surrounding Tucson is so gorgeous! The air is clean! The climate is wonderful with most days without a cloud in the sky. The desert foilage is more than you would expect; mule deer and coyotes are frequent visitors to my back yard. There are the most beautiful birds in the world here and many hummingbirds drink the nectar of the plants in my courtyard that I view through my study window.
