General Review - 12/5/2008

Page is one of the few places that still has a small town sphere. It thrives on summer tourism. There is much tourism, due to the close location of Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam, the Grand Canyon (2hr drive) and a great area for hiking. In the winter things slow down. People are very friendly. If you consider moving to Page, you better have a job lined up. As it is an isolated town and jobs are sometimes hard to come by. Some of the largest employers are the SRP power plant, Aramark and Page Hospital. I enjoy living in Page and think of it as a great town to raise my family.[read more...]

Hi there, I was raised in Page. I loved it. It was a wonderful place to grow up. The reviews posted here sound so negative. Has it really changed? What about the wonderful lake and swimming, fishing, hiking, and perfect climate with all the seasons?? Comments are welcome...I would love to know what it is like today :) Thanks, Arizona[read more...]

FAIR TO POOR - 9/12/2008

Page is a difficult place to work and live. I dont feel it is a good place to raise a family. The closest town is 130 miles away in Flagstaff Az. The next city would be St George utah. the medical is very poor and unreliable. The only shopping of any size is a walmart. The people are usually not very friendly. The weather is lovely and the lake is great but I cannot stand living here anylonger. the jobs of substance are mostly Navajo preference and military preference. The city does not keep the bums out of the parks and does not clean the streets. Most resturants are filthy and poor service at best. I would not recomment a move to Page Az.[read more...]
