my daughter is in the 2nd grade and after being in public school for 2 years i absolutely love this school. her grades have improved dramatically since being at rosefield. her teacher really encourages her to do her best and go beyond that. the school does not put up with bulling one bit. big issue at her other school. but i am very thankful that she is in a school that truly cares about their students and their well being as well as pushing them to succeed in their academics.[read more...] |

Imagine Elementary Charter - 2/28/2013
I have a 2nd grader at Imagine Rosefield, this is our first year of being here and absolutely love this school. After being in public schools for two years and my daughter constantly being bullied and being told every day that the only thing keeping her out of the principles office for talking is because she's such a sweet girl, I knew than It was time to pull her out of public school. At Imagine Rosefield the staff is wonderful I have not had any problems with them what so ever. They are extremely helpful and understanding. The teachers are wonderful they encourage the kids to push a little harder to reach there next goal whether it be in reading or math. The school is on top of the bully issue and gets things resolved quickly. They really make the kids accountable for their actions . This school builds up our children and lets them know they can do anything they want.[read more...] |

I have a 2nd grader at Imagine Rosefield, this is our first year of being here and absolutely love this school. After being in public schools for two years and my daughter constantly being bullied and being sexually harassed by a fourth grader and no one doing anything about it because they did not believe her and being told every day that the only thing keeping her out of the principles office for talking is because she's such a sweet girl, I knew than It was time to pull her out of public school. Imagine Rosefield Charter School - 2/25/2013
We've been homeschooling our children right up to this last fall, but with my wife going back to school, we needed to make a change. We did a lot of research about where to send our youngest three children (1st, 3rd, and 5th grades), and we're so glad we went with Imagine Rosefield! Of course, our children have varied learning styles and abilities, even IEPs, and after doing IEPs with our local school district, this has been such a relief where they've gone above and beyond instead of trying to provide as little as possible for our two younger children who have additional needs. As a school, they are excellent! Not only built on principles, but their teachers live them, and everything they do encourages the students to as well. Our oldest just had 8th grade left before high school so we let him go with his neighborhood friends here, and the contrast is clear between his educational environment at our local school in the district that he's attending, and the kind of learning environment our younger children have at Imagine Rosefield. If you wonder about uniforms, well I had a set uniform (light blue shirt on top and navy blue pants--they called us blueberries!) my senior year attending Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, so I know first hand the benefits of that kind of a system which lets you be unique and stand out and work on differentiating yourself for who you are and the talents you have rather than your style (or the price) of your clothes. I see the same kinds of benefits rubbing off on my children here and the better friendships they develop as a result. The set of teachers is absolutely great--they are committed to helping our children, and when there are struggles with any of them, the doors are open and the administration is all about helping our children succeed! If this were eBay, A++++++++++. I highly recommend Imagine Rosefield for every family and child considering it!
NOTE: This is a not a bot or a review with incentive... you can even verify that a Quintus S. really did attend Interlochen Arts Academy some 20 years ago. :-)[read more...] |

Imagine charter at Rosefield - 2/24/2013
I have a child in the Imagine rosefield charter school I wanted to write this review in favor of this school I love it the teachers are great and they really take the time to work with each child. My daughter was in the public school system and I pulled her from Rancho gabriella because the teacher she had in 4th grade was not helpful at all and kept blaming my child for everything so I put her in the charter school and her teacher took her under her wing and helped her out and worked with her. Finally her grades came way up and she loved to go to school again. Now this year she is in 5th grade at the same charter school and she adores her teacher she speaks very highly of her and she takes the time to talk with her and work on anything that she needs help with. I give all the teachers and staff an A++++++ and I would recommend this school to anybody looking for a great school. My daughter will continue on in the charter schools until she graduates high school.[read more...] |

Surprise. Allergy and or Respitory problems here - 11/25/2012
I've only been here 3 months and I was fine for only about 2 weeks if that. I gradually kept getting more and more sinus discomfort and headaches here. Then it got worse over the last week. Everytime I go outside I get a tight chest, and have a hard time taking in air. So evidently Asthma or bronchitis is developing. It is very dusty and of course dry here. Add the smog and auto pollution in Metro Phoenix to begin with. All these cars there is so little to no transit at all. All the fields and dry dust bowl conditions that make up the area. No wonder I have this going on. Actually this is a very ignorant and arrogant Metro area. I'm sure they could have done something to improve the air here years ago. Evidently having every car and truck on the road is all they worship here. God forbid there be proper transit to cut down on some of the pollution here. Well I see a doctor about this tomorrow, and I'm out of Arizona this summer. If I can make it that long but I have a lease here so I have to honor it. Arizona is not worth my time, if this is how I have to feel to live here. Especially if Asthma is developing here. [read more...] |

Hating this place! - 6/25/2012
Honest review: Moved to the west valley area of Phoenix/ Surprise/El Mirage back in 1999 from Texas to start over after getting a divorce and having two small children. It was a great place to start over. The job market and economy was good and I was able to get a job within a short period of time. The pay was extremely low however I was able to make do with the cost of living. Fast forward to the last few years- fraud in just about every industry known to man, especially the housing industry. I put down a pretty good amount of money to have a home built in 2008 only to find that the builder had mechanical leins on the home from not paying subcontractors and landscapers which prevented the close of escrow and the clearing of the title. My family and I were unable to move into the home and weren't told this until after we rented out our current home which left us homeless. Tried to fight it in Arbitration, which is a joke, and won the case only to have the builder file for bankruptcy. Out of thousands of dollars and homeless, just trying to obtain the american dream and own a home. Also, people here are rude and extremely racist here in the Surprise area. My family and I have been literally stared at rudely while out to eat at a local restaurant. Just today a lady gave us the finger in a bank parking lot. They cannot drive here with people still driving that can barely walk and are legally blind, with some people doing "co-driving"-the one that can see directing the driver that still has mobility in their limbs to use the steering wheel, scary!!!! I swear people guess on their drivers test because most don't know the far left lane is the passing lane and it would be great if they would drive near the speed limit instead of 10 miles under. Also, a green light means go, which most don't seem to know and sit at a green light waiting for another color before they use their accelerator??? I was recently laid off along with numerous others and the job market is crazy here. Jobs I am obviously qualified for doesn't warrant a response and if so, a rejection letter that they are going with other applicants. I was actually told by a recruiter from Maricopa County Community college that their process for sorting through the hundreds of applicants for 1 position is to choose the ones with the minimum qualifications and then from that stack, take the ones with the desired qualifications, from that stack they will randomly pick out applications and will call those applicants in to interview, like a lottery system. This place is stressful, racist, boring with nothing to do for entertainment, especially for the kids, and not a great place to live. I am so hoping that I can move on so I can enjoy the rest of my life.[read more...] |

dont do it - 10/30/2011
Surprise might be a good place to raise a family, but altogether it is not a place you want to live. The school system here is terrible, the crime rate including theft, vandalism, and teen substance abuse is on the rise. The police force out here is lazy, and often pull you over or arrest you for pretty much anything they can. There is nothing to do in this city, you have to drive 15 to 30 minutes outside the city to find anything to do. There are barely any jobs, and if you get a job your lucky to even keep it or get decent hours to live off of. There is no sense of community, as people barely come outside their houses. And last but not less important, the people are more judgemental than friendly and there is a lot of bullying issues throughout grade school and high school.[read more...] |
