Our Beautiful Weather - 5/17/2008
You can't beat the weather in Southern California. With over crowding, increased gang violence and a weak job market, it is the one of the few positive thing about living here. Lakewood is a good spot because even on the few scorching hot days we get, we are still close enough to the ocean that we feel the ocean breeze that kicks up in the late afternoon.
Overall, it is in the mid 60's to low eighties most days of the year.[read more...] |

Family-Oriented Community - 7/4/2006
For an older community, Lakewood is very well-kept. There are lots of parks and things for families to do. Lots of shopping, dining and entertainment in the area. However, the L.A. County Sheriff is constantly patrolling the Lakewood Center, as there have been problems with gangs coming in from nearby cities. Other than that, not a bad place to live.[read more...] |
