Once quiet and mundane and peaceful, this comminuty has been ravaged by hordes of immigrants who overran the status quo and took over the community. Now that it has no longer retained the nice quiet atmosphere the older residents were forced out.[read more...] |

Grew up here sixty years ago. It was a small quiet community with almost no crime. Had a paper route and knew almost everybody in town. When the sixties came the influx of hispanics moved in forever changing the culture of Maywood. Now a sanctuary city it is host to rebels that have taken down America's flag and put their atop of "Old Glory". How sad to see such disrespect given to the people who welcomed them with open arms.[read more...] |
