Moreno Valley Sucks - 9/15/2010

This is the worst place in America to live. I don't mean this in any disrespectful way to the people that were born and raised in Moreno Valley and don't know what's it's like to live anywhere else first and foremost. I'm tired of people wanting to start of their negative rants with a stupid racist remark. As far as I'm concerned, I've had a problem with people of every race I've encountered here in Moreno Valley in one way or another. From horrible teachers, to bad dentist and doctors. A thousand randomn checkpoints a year in which they ask you if you're on probation or if you've just smoked some weed. My house was robbed last year. I lost over $60,000 in goods while my neighbor watched and said nothing until the next day when they saw the police at my house. Their excuse was that they were afraid the robbers would come back and hurt them. (As they were watching from the blinds---Yeah right!!!) Then the police get to my house and kept the car running while they filed the 10 minute report. And it took the officer 2 hours to get there. The excuse was "You didn't call two hours ago"----LOL. My daughter goes to a private school that has been teaching her the same thing for two years but I'm afaid to mover her to public school. If you're considering moving to Moreno Valley because housing prices are good, then consider buying a home and renting it to someone you don't give a damn about. I can't wait to move from Moreno Valley.[read more...]

Wrong Stats on Crime in Moreno Valley - 3/30/2010

Moreno Valley has made great improvements since 1996. Gangs were here at one time. Our gangs are few now and graffiti almost at a zero. Our crime is low. Compare to LA and OC we are about the same. Police are awesome here. Graffiti is taken off with 12 hours of asking the City to remove it. Business is growing. Some people are mad at how fast it is growing. As this was horse area, and now with the growth that is fading. [read more...]

Local Politics - 3/20/2009

Moreno Valley is not the best of places and could be one of the worse. We have a local developer, Iddo Benzeevi, who is attempting to buy city council members and dominate local politics. So far, he has spent $350-500,000 to get control of the City and to get the necessary votes to create a warehouse district in the rural portion of the city. The council woman in district 3 has accepted $30,000 from Ridge Trust the next warehouse developer in district 3. Both can be verified on FPPC form 460. If you wish to live in an upscale area, scratch MoVal. I wish I had done so 30 years ago.[read more...]

Schools - 9/22/2006

I have lived in Moreno Vally for 18 years, and over the course of the years, the schools have become so over crowded it is ridiculous. Moreno Valley's city council is doing a POOR job of allocating enough schools to accomodate the number of new homes being built in this area. My children have 50 or more children in their PE classes, 30 or more in their academic classes, and the teachers are rude, disrespectful, and racists!!!!! If you have children and can afford to live somewhere else other than Moreno Valley, DO IT. This city obviously cares more about revenue (the number of new homes, apartments, & condos to be exact) from taxes then they do about the future leaders of the community/world......think about it. Will your childs education suffer because the schools are so crowded????? YES.[read more...]

Moreno Valley is a nice up and coming city - 4/14/2006

We moved here from San Diego for a nicer home. I like it here and it is now time for my family to leave to due job relocation. I recommend it, it may seem like there isn't a lot to do here. The surrounding cities do provide you with a lot of adult activities. I do believe that in about 2 years, this city will have all the things of Riverside and Los Angeles. I am sad to have to leave. The best part about leaving is that we will make a 200,000 profit on the sale of our home![read more...]

Moreno Valley is a nice area to live, however..... - 3/12/2006

I have had enough of it! The neighborhood I live in is very nice, very clean, and pride of ownership is obvious. I have lived in Mo Val for 14 years and have watched it change year after year. It is so crowded here now. The schools are over flowing, the builders keep building homes but are not building schools. The city is beautiful, but it is also very congested! Driving the city streets is like driving on a freeway during traffic hours. Everything is expensive here now....homes, gasoline, food utilities, everything! Oh did I mention that you must also be bilinqual! There is nothing to do here. You have to leave Moreno Valley if you want entertainment. The only thing one can do here is eat! There are restarants everywhere! The only extra curricular activites for the teenagers is the bowling alley, movies, school activities, or the mall. There are none for adults. No jazz clubs, no broadway shows, no cultural facilities, etc. Just bowling, restarants and fitness centers. I am leaving Moreno Valley as soon as my son graduates from high school in 2008. Moreno Valley is known as the "Valley of the Dirt - 2/1/2006

Moreno Valley is in the center of Riverside and San Bernardino. It is surrounded by a lot of dirt and beautiful rock mountains. In the winter after the rains it is very very green. It may be surrounded by dirt but it is a nice sight. Lots of open air! We moved here 3 years ago and the city has cleaned up dramatically. It is turning into a decent city. Unfortunitly it still has a lot of trashy people that do not care about their streets or shut their dogs up. I have 3 Husky's. None of them bark because they will get in trouble. If you can teach a dog to sit, catch, help the blind, you can tech them to shut up as well. The people here don't understand that. They also do not know how to turn down the radio and go BOOMING around the streets all hours of the night. Like I said, it is getting better. Imagine how it was 3 years ago. I'm leaving and going to Texas! Forget this place. Too much trash and too many rude people still![read more...]

Moreno Valley - 12/27/2005

We moved to Moreno Valley live in a nice new house, we could afford one out here. We thought the area had changed. But, I agree with what the other persons said. Even in the nice new area. This city is run poorly, the people are low class they thrash the stores and there is trash on the streets. It seems like people do not have pride in ownership, and most seem rude, with no manners. Traffic out here is horrible. Crime and vandalism is high. We have been here less than a year and already have had it, we are moving.[read more...]
