I've lived here 25 years. Perfect climate. Very central for employment opportunities. Really great schools. 45 min to San Fran, 45 min to Santa Cruz beach. Having been born and raised in the great northwest with its deep, cold, rain, coming to land in the south bay area of Cali has been nothing short of pure delight.
With no more than a handful of days above 90 degrees in the the summer, and the rare dip below 25 in the winter, we live in the mildest of climates with the softest kind of weather. Not too windy or too hot or too rainy or too cold, anyone who needs the rush of more assertive weather should steer clear of our comfortable, ambling, sunny days with happy dots of white visiting our blue sky just to add variety. Our roses bloom into December, and our trees green up by March. Winter hardly shows his gray beard here, but Summer is so well-behaved that everyone loves her.

Hi!
Mountain View, CA has the best climate of anywhere I have ever lived, or think I could live. It is frequently warm and sunny, rarely too hot. It is cooler than San Jose by enough to make life bearable (on hot days) and warmer by a lot than San Francisco and the rest of the Peninsula (on cool days). Plants of most varieties (including sun-loving vegetables) grow quite well. It's just too bad the housing costs are so high I will never be able to own a house here!
