Better than expected - 7/29/2009

Coming from a much larger community, we really didn't expect much from the high school, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Yosemite High School has a wide variety of courses and boasts an international baccalaureate program, and certainly provides a college prep education for those looking for one. The sports program is only fair, with a heavy emphasis on football and girls volleyball and basketball; most other sports seem to get little attention, even when they perform well.[read more...]

The good life. - 7/15/2009

This is a nice town to raise a family. It is much cleaner, air is better, and if you have a hard-rock well like we do, the water is very good. Our family who live in Fresno fill up 5 gallon jugs at our house to take home because our water is so much better than their city water. I live at 3500 ft and get snow (no need for a now shovel though) each year for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Bass Lake is minutes away.[read more...]
