PLACENTIA IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE. BEEN HERE SINCE 1980. EASY ACCESS TO FREEWAYS, PLENTY OF COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL BUSINESSES AROUND FOR EMPLOYMENT. NEARBY--GOLF COURSES, LAKE FISHING, SHOPPING MALLS, RESTAURANTS....... 12+/- MILES TO THE OCEAN AND EASY ACCESS. GREAT PLACE. [read more...] |

Cheap Housing - 4/12/2010
If you rent, Placentia's not bad. I haven't noticed too much crime but there are quite a few reasonable apartments. Being close to a California State School has its advantages.[read more...] |

Southern California - 3/3/2008
We live in a "quiet" suburb of Orange County California (south of Los Angeles). Pros: shopping, freeway access, airport availability, mountains, beaches. Cons: traffic, housing costs, population density. As retirees, we can travel outside of rush hours, but the window gets smaller all the time.[read more...] |

A nice bedroom community - 1/15/2007
The City Government has had troubles over the years and still working on the sins of the past. City services will suffer if they can't get it straightened out soon. The community is very friendly. This is a bedroom community - not a lot of businesses, thus a low tax base, which is a problem for the City.
The people are very friendly and the community is family oriented.
The California climate is wonderful, but trying to enjoy all that this great state has to offer is a challenge due to heavy traffic almost every day of the week. I am a native of this area and love Orange County - north Orange County especially. I just wish a few less people did too![read more...] |
