First of all, Soledad is not a beach town. It is located about 45 min from the nearest popular beach.
Second, it is windy everyday for a few hours. Third, texcept for Pinnacles national park, you there is nothing to do here. zERO. Nada. Nothing. No museums, no theatre, crappy parks, 1 bar, 1 card room, 1 major grocery store and it is awful, FoodsCo.
As soon as the sun retires for the day, this town is as dead as a Milli Vanilli concert. There are no cute shops, no cute plazas, no cute anything (people included).
As far as the population, here is the breakdown
Blacks I can count them with my 2 hands
Whites about 25%
Asian handful
Middle Eastern. 2 handfuls and they own 3 the dollar stores in town
Gangs. Mostly NorteƱo, Salinas, CA is half an hour away. It is gang infested. Constant shootings . Both towns are very unattractive and the majority of people are not the nicest people.

It really rains mostly during the winter, with very little rain at other times. It has a close proximity to the Monterey Bay, San Jose, and San Francisco is under one hour away. The one negative is the cost of living, and the quality, or lack thereof of the public Read More
