Bayview Hunters Point - 6/30/2006
Been living in bayview hunters point for about 12 years now. What I can say that it's a rough place to live, no one cares about us and the mayor of San Francisco continue to ignore us. While many think San Francisco isn't really a dangerous place, but cities do have their "ghetto" and slums. There were over a 100 shootings in the year 2004 in bayview hunters point. One of them took the life of a very dear friend. Everyday it's hard, but I've been able to maintain this far so I'm gonna keep surviving. Schools could be better - 5/12/2006
This was originally a blue-collar community several decades ago. In the SF Bay Area, it is not known for its high-quality public schools, K-12. So.SF has a number of parochial schools and/or is within driving distance of a few others. Many parents choose parochial over public. The city's two high schools are not well-respected for student academic achievement.[read more...] |
