True Quality Of Life In Commerce City - 6/5/2007

I recently moved to Commerce City, specifically the Reunion/Buffalo Mesa area. I love it here - it's a great family community with a wide variety of ethnicities. There are lots of families with children - being a parent, I feel that this is a wonderful place to raise a family. Buffalo Run Golf Course and restaurant is close by and there is a fantastic rec center in Reunion as well as many parks and community pools. The homes are all beautiful and it provides you with a refuge from the city. The downside is there are no really close grocery stores, restaurants, and other retailers close by - the closest is probably 15-25 minutes away. There are retailers, restaurants, and big-box stores coming soon. A previous poster commented that Commerce City looks like New Jersey and yes, there are industrial parts of Commerce City that are not attractive but there are parts of Commerce City that shine and are far from the industrial part. Denver is the same, and many suburb areas in Colorado - some areas are attractive, some are not. Before passing judgment, I recommend a visit especially if you have children - you will love the close by rivers with fishing docks, sparkling swimming pools, wide open spaces, and a terrific view of the mountains.[read more...]
