Fountain - 6/1/2009
Fountain is a great place to live. Housing is affordable and not segregated (all the condo's not in one part of town and all of the big homes in another). The city government is small but effective. The schools are awesome with a high school where every student gets issued a laptop for a year. The community is quiet (not a lot of gangs and drugs) and has a good mix of country and urban dwellers. Lots of retired military from Fort Carson and Peterson AFB. It is 10 minutes to all to clubs, shopping, culture and recreation, etc offered by Colorado Springs.[read more...] |

Fountain Colorado Climate - 8/25/2007
Great area for climate. Due to the higher altitude the summers are cooler than Denver or Pueblo and winters are milder than either mountain or plains areas. Kind of windy at times.[read more...] |
