Telluride/Mountain Village is a planned community that turned into a home rule town. The most magnificant vistas and wonderful outdoor recreation. Skiing, snowboarding, snoeshoeing, snowmobiling in the winter and hiking, fishing, golf in the summer. The weather is great and there are no bugs, mosquitos, snakes, etc. No need for air conditioning. Mountain Village has a free taxi service within the town and a free gondola connecting it with the historic town of Telluride. This is one of the few towns in the USA where part-time homeowners can vote.[read more...] |
