Living in danbury - 2/16/2010
We have been living here for just one year, so I don't know a lot about Danbury. It is colder than NJ, where I have spent most of my life. Also, it snows more.
The area is pretty, with trees all over, and lots of small hills.
Everything is very convenient. You can find just about any store right within the town.

Danbury, CT - 11/21/2009
The crime rate is very low compared to other cities/towns of its size. For the most part, the people are friendly. Typical New England weather. There is much history here. There is just about everything you could want here. It is very diverse with many immigrants from Portugal, Ecuador and Brazil as well as other places. It's a great place to be from.[read more...] |

SANCTUARY CITY - 3/19/2009
Danbury, in my opinion has many neighborhoods that have become gheto's,that are rapidly expanding. The Police are under staffed. The Hospital, Library, Schools, Parks, and Main Street have become over-run with Illegals. I have lived in Danbury for 15 years and want to Get Out. The median home cost is $317,000 and declining. Attorney General Richard Blumenthal does not take action & ICE needs to do alot more RAIDS. DEPORTATION, The Only Solution !!![read more...] |

Can't Wait to Leave - 5/14/2007
As someone before me put it so well, "We moved into Danbury almost 6 years ago. Since then, particularly after 9/11, there seems to have been a population boom. Local traffic has increased dramatically and the roads are inadequate. 5 new expensive "luxury" Condo complexes have gone up within 1-2 miles of ours. There are plenty of chain restaurants and a great mall. Overall we were happy here but can't wait to leave now."
The only change I'd make to that is that I've been here 7 years and was happy for the first two, but because of the reasons above, particularly the EXPLODING over-development of mostly condos and "cluster houses", and the resulting environmental damage (especially runoff and flooding), I would have liked to have left AT LEAST 2 years ago!![read more...] |
