It's a shame... - 3/10/2010
....that there isn't more reasonably priced homes in Farmington because it really is a great town to live in. It's small enough to feel like you know people, but big enough to feel as if you have some space. The schools are outstanding, as well. Too bad families can't afford to live here unless they really compromise there housing needs for others.[read more...] |

Great Education System, Many Healthcare Jobs, but - 8/20/2009
If you work in the health insurance industry, and have school-age kids, this is a great place. The liberal, progressive culture is also a plus (to some people).
However, housing prices and taxes are both high. Most housing "developments" are pale shadows of what you will find in, say, North Carolina. No grid system for streets, few sidewalks, etc. And the winters are cold and snowy--for two months.
