small town living - 3/25/2008
I have lived in Northeastern Ct. for a good part of my life and in Killingly for most of it. I think the quality of life is good there and the community keeps up with progress. The public schools are good quality and there is also a good community college. I have traveled to many small towns across the USA and I must say Killingly's down-town strip continues to have shopping options and less vacant store fronts than I have seen in many other small towns.
There is a lack of outdoor activities however, and the climate is typical New England. Long, cold winters and short summers. It is my primary reason for relocating to another small town farther south.[read more...] |
