New Milford Point of View - 1/20/2008
We moved here in June of 2007 after spending the past 25 years in Alaska. Summer climate is very nice with a typical afternoon thunderstorm but nice warm days. Winter has been very mild but be prepared for a shock when you receive your oil and electric bill. In fact you should call a paramedic before opening the envelope. Everything here is overpriced but relatively low compared to other parts of the state. People are not friendly so don't expect anyone to say hello back to you when you smile and say hi. Very stuffy..

Safe place to live, lots of space and green, river, good town maintanance. Housing is less expensive in New Milford, than in towns closer to I84. commuting may be a problem, but that is being addressed by widening of Rt. 7. Nice place to live in.[read more...] |
