Typical over developed Connecticut town. Been here about 20 years. Bought the house before we even thought about having children. Turns out our "starter" home was very close to a good public school system - middle school kind of in the backyard and high school 1/4 mile aray. We expanded and hung in there. The kids are well into high school. Traffic and taxes have become ridiculous over the years. Like I said, good schools, excellent town services, good feeling of community, easy access to tons of stores, restuarants and services. Easy 100 miles to Boston or New York. Looking to go rural to reduce taxes, stress and cost of living. We love the outdoors. Need help getting started.[read more...] |
