great place - 5/22/2010
We ahve lived here for 15 yrs and really like the small town atmosphere with many amenities. We are close to major highways to go to "the big" cities.[read more...] |

Housing is old and ruddy - 7/27/2009
Southington is a generally overdeveloped city/town (it's right on the line) which is showing it's age, in terms of housing at least. Most of the rental homes and apartments are aging, dingy, in general disrepair and not terribly attractive. The trade-of, of course, is that for Connecticut, rents are generally fairly low, but most renters would rather pay a bit more and get a bit more, as in surrounding towns.[read more...] |
