As a resident of over 23 years - I truly feel this town of Trumbull has so much to offer anyone looking to move to Fairfield county. It is only 60 miles to NY city so if you are a commuter or simply just have the need to be within an hrs drive of Manhattan, Trumbull is a town to consider. The schools have a very good reputation as well. There are 6 elementary schools - the newest being Frenchtown which is a state of the art school with white boards in each classroom--certainly worth a tour if you consider Trumbull. There are two middle schools and one high school. Of course, there are several private schools in Trumbull as well - One is Christian Heritage which is k-8 and St. Joseph High School. The majority of Trumbull is mostly all single family residential with several condomimium complexes as well. It is a very family oriented town where people are friendly and everyone seems to move here because of the schools, the proximity to NY and just a great town with so much to offer including a public golf course, two town pools, 2 lakes and my favorite in particular---the parks in Trumbull are second to none and too many to mention. If you are considering a move to Fairfield county or Trumbull in particular - please make sure you get to see some of the parks you and your family can enjoy as being a resident of this town.
