A Friendly little town - 4/15/2008

We live in a small, friendly little fishing town. The friendliness of the people is it's best quality. The best place to meet everyone is at the post office about 11AM although we do have mail delivery most of us prefer to pick up the mail just to say hi to everyone. The developers have slowly but surely made inroads into our town and have made the value of property go up to the point it is not the best place to retire anymore. Since it is on the gulf side of the state it is a tourist attraction with excellent fishing so we have many quaint motels and restaurants. We have 5 churches in town which are very active in charitable projects. Last year we had 15 students graduate from our High School with excellent teachers. Twelve of our young girls and boys have gone off to protect our country.[read more...]
