Here on the space coast you will find wonderful beaches, good restaurants,nice hotels and plenty of tourist. I encourage anyone looking for a vacation to come here. As for moving here please do the research and you will see why it's wonderful to visit but not to move. The Space Coast is known as home to NASA but as NASA is losing tons of jobs and our unemployment rate rate at 12% jobs are not here and prices on food,utilities are going sky high and with the oil spill set to come anyday that is the last thing we need.[read more...]

For my wife and I, the Island life of Indian Harbour Beach is perfect for us beach lovers. Our condo is right across street from beach. Although the city itself is small, only 2.6 miles, there is walmart, gyms, movie theatre, quality dining, big name concerts and plays at the 2,000 seat King Center in next door Melbourne Fl. If you are a beach person and love sunny days where you can have picnics and go walking on the beach, the cities here and close by have many pavilions where you can have covered picnics, barbeques and then some vollyball if you're up to it. Since 1980, we had one really bad hurricane season, one season with a close call but we are not hit every year as some might say. It does stay hot except for a couple months, but it is Florida and that's why we have AC.
