Islamorada is a unique and beautiful 4-island community in the Florida Keys. It has great boating and fishing opportunities and some great local restaurants. It has a tourist-based economy and population triples during the peak tourist season (Jan. - Apr.). However, the cost of living is high. The average housing price is nearly $1,000,000 and waterfront properties can be much higher. Further, food and utility costs are generally higher than on the mainland.
