Leesburg Land between the lakes - 9/29/2008

My city sits between Lakes Harris and Griffin as part of the St. John's river system it helped the city grow. Now we rest between the two top growing communitys in central Florida The Villages and the entire So. Lake County area. With the boom years finnally over we are still evaluating its impact. Some of our problems are losing our countryside to develpers i.e. cr466 and such a flux of new people its hard to tell if the snowbirds left in the summer. Some good points with the flux of diffrent people the diversity and culture ios quite apparent.Leesburg is still is small city and its charm keeps people coming back like me.[read more...]
