quiet, private, everything in reach and affordable - 12/23/2009
If you like antique malls, smalls shops, independent art gallaries and every flowering tree imaginable, you will like this small community. The cost of living is low. There are farmers markets everywhere and people are friendly.
The starbucks and malls are closer to the University of florida about 30 mintes away. Going West you will en up at one of several lovely parks and beach communities.
Not far you can spend the day in Ol' St. Augustine-believed to be the most haunted city- and the oldest city in America. It's charming streets and the enticings smells of home made chocolates, real italian pizza and stromboli, even the exotic perfumes from the lovely dress shopes should tickleyour scences. If yo like finer things, the Art gallaries offer a managerie for the connassseur from oils to glassware to pottery. On your way back, stop by at Melrose's Bay restarant where Jorge, the cook will prepare for you the best dinner you have ever had. The specialty is fish as we are in the lake area but do not let that you from trying the stakes or the fowl dishes. The cottages where we live are in a historic area nestled in a quiet, protected area. They were vaation homes and are now mostly retirement villas.
