A great, great town..Wonderful city employees..A revitalized down town entertainment district..Seaplane port, new restaurants,water park for kids..A beautiful lighted park chock full of events..Boat docks galore..Responsive police and fire depts..Good schools..low taxes..A very user friendly town.. Too many negatives - 5/8/2006
Been here 22 years. Leaving asap. Too many old people due to HUGE, well marketed retirement community taking over Lake/Sumter/Marion counties. High housing costs, never-ending construction, GREEDY local government allowing exploding growth. No more grass, hills, groves, water. Concrete, construction, condos, condos, condos. Horrible drivers!!! Rude younger generation. The only good was close to beaches. But guess what? You can't see THEM anymore... because of the condos![read more...] |
