One year living it Titusville - 10/27/2011

We moved here from Ohio and found it to be a really nice place to live. We do not have a lot of chain stores/restaurants but if we want them they are 20-40 min away......in the higher crime areas and heavy traffic! We found a lovely home in a great neighboorhood and love living the Florida life. We believe the economy will rebound and T-Town will once again hit the top with a lot of high tech people. Great churchs and caring people. We are self employed and over 60.[read more...]

Great place to raise kids - 2/17/2008

So many things make me grateful that we moved here in 1989: community values, active church attendance, public schools that prepared our children well for top universities, low traffic, convenient parking, great beaches, open green areas, boating on the intracoastal waterway ... 84 degrees at the beach on 17 February. My spouse and I travel a lot on business, and Titusville has been our haven. We plan to retire here.[read more...]

If you aren't retired, Titusville isn't the town f - 8/9/2007

In a nutshell, this place is just awful. I moved here three years ago from a short stint in Atlanta, GA and living ten years in Pinellas County, on the gulf side of Florida. This place is just horrible. There are no jobs, no growth, no restaurants, the schools are deplorable. It's just a gaping hole of tremendous suck. Unless you are retired and ready to die, this is not the place for growing families or people who have to work to make a living.[read more...]

Titusville is a growing city with so much potential. The cost of living is still very low and a great financial economy exists only 25 minutes West in Orlando, 35 minutes South in Melborne and 45 minutes North in Daytona[read more...]

Titusville, FL - The good the bad and the ugly - 8/25/2006

I've lived here for 23 years and it's a great place to have babies and raise them, because though the population is around 40K, the stores are clean and there isn't much traffic. The whole town is mostly all about the schools and churches and perhaps that is why the area has remarkably respectful and responsible teenagers. If you like architecture look the other way. Except for six square blocks in the historic area around old town, most developed areas look like a giant barfed next to the Intracoastal waterway...and there was Titusville. Oh well, I suppose the Indian River Lagoon IS nice and the incredibly pristine, undeveloped seashore, fifteen minutes through the wildlife refuge Is awesome. Watching shuttle launches from your backyard ain't too bad either.[read more...]
