My ENT says that FL is not the wise choice if you suffer from allergies. We have alot of exotic plants here most, you have never heard of. Some of them are an invasive speices, not native to South Florida. Plants bloom here all year long and My advise is to live here a while before making the decision to stay. I have lived here most of my life and I have seen lots of changes. I am ready to retire somewhere else.[read more...]

If you're looking for peace of mind, when it comes to crime, look no further. Weston is an upscale city, with a growing population, where you can feel safe going out at night. There's is always the general concern about breaking-and-entering, auto-theft, and others, no matter where you live. But, I have never lived in a community/city that felt safer than this one. Weston is a great city for families with children. All schools are A+. There are a lot of parks. The city is extremely well maintened. I think is not the city for singles because there's no nightlife at all. Pretty close access to the major cities through the Interstate 75. About 20 minutes from beaches of Fort Lauderdale area. 45 minutes of Miami beach area. 60 to 75 minutes of Gulf Coast beaches (Naples, Marco Island). Anything wrong? I live in Weston. The associations are outrageous to deal with! Want to paint your house the same color it already is? Pay the association $75.00 and fill out the forms so they can hold a meeting and decide if you can. This is just to paint it the same color. Want to have relatives visit from out of town? That's alright, as long as they can all park in your drive way. Because they don't allow parking on the street overnight. Even if it is in front of your house. Rains too much and mushrooms sprout up in your yard? Expect a not so nice note on your door that very morning. Weston advertises that is your hometown. Well.... Weston backwards is Notsew. Don't move here unless you want every bit of your life governed and have to pay to get permission for everything. I know quite a few people in the town and they all feel that the associations have gotten out of hand.[read more...]

Weston is pretty decent. But I think it's overglorified. It's basically just a suburban town, with some decent shopping for your basic needs. Some restaurants are OK, but many of them make way more of themselves than what they offer; they are expensive and the service is crappy with pompous jerks who think they are "all that" and it's just stinking Weston not the French Riviera or Miami Beach, and the food is average and non-impressive with a gourmet price tag. The best thing Weston has going for it is it's a relatively safe place and the town is very well maintained and clean, so if you have an above average or higher income and have family concerns and don't mind things being kind of boring then it's all right. It is also full of gated communities. Overall I'd say that Weston is overrated, it's no paradise. It's pretty safe, decent schools for the kids, very family oriented, but if you are single or a couple with no kids it would be a very lame place to live. There really isn't much going on here at all. For a family with money that wants a safe boring place it's pretty good, but for anybody else, go somewhere else in south florida where it's a lot less expensive and much more exciting.[read more...]

Weston is a great place, quiet, good for families. The entire town is very well taken care off, manicured. We have lived here for 6 years and loved it. When we first came to Florida and were looking for a place to live, out of many place Weston made the best impression. From Weston one can easily drive to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, even Naples. Weston schools are very highly rated.[read more...]
