I personally attended a Catholic school, purely because of religion, however Naperville and some of the surrounding areas have some of the best public school systems in the nation. For any parent that is thinking about moving to Naperville and wants to know about the school systems, academically they are about as good as they get. In terms of the social atmosphere, I'll give you one hint...the movie Mean Girls was based off of these public schools. While I believe there is a niche for everyone, outsiders may see it as a pompous community with a bunch of wealthy, catty students. This may be true of some, however there is an opportunity for everyone to fit in and succeed. As a final bit of information, the schools are extremely safe and most of the students come from fairly affluent and stable families.[read more...]
