I think it's great living here, you are close to everything, and I mean everthing. Fairview is primarily commercial;large shopping mall, numerous dining, auto repair,anything you want. It is a destination for shoppers from at least a 50 mile radius,which does increase traffic but those who live here know the ways around the traffic. Hospitals are within 5-10 miles, High school 8 miles, grade schools within a mile. An interstate runs just north of the city with easy access to St. Louis,Mo (10 Miles). FH is the largest shopping center in St. Clair County with a full array of shops of every sort and for every kind of shopper. What used to be a corn field many years ago is now a place where shoppers come from 60 to 100 miles to shop and is located 12 miles form the Mississippi River or the city of St. Louis with a major highway parellell to the shoping center I-64 and the city has many avenues for family recreation such as an active city park, and is located within easy access to surrounding cities that depend on its large shopping marke. it is also in within 20 miles of Scott Air Force based and is again surrounding by a booming housing and commercial markets from cities such as Shiloh, OFallon, Belleville, Collinsville, E.
