Living in Genoa my whole life, I can truely appreciate the area. Although voted "first to move out of Genoa" in highschool, I quickly changed my mind when I had a family. Genoa was boring to me as a teen, but this feeling is what typical teens would feel. It's not until you become a parent that you realize it is just a safe and quiet town. There is plenty to do as a family with home town festivals, bike routes, parks and local forest preserves. Far away from crime ripple effects, but close enough to experience big events held in cities like in Chicago and Rockford.[read more...] |
