GLENWOOD IS DECEIVING! - 9/15/2011
This is ridiculous! This is suppose to be "Suburban Living" I beg to differ. This is a complete and utter GHETTO! There is violence all around Glenwood. Most people ignore it because they are confined to their homes and own lives or they are part of the problem. My Husband and I both working responsible adults, decided to rent a condo in this "Suburb" after reading nothing but great reviews about Glenwood and how diverse Glenwood is and how most of the families are 2 parent households with a great income (according to Census 2000)...... MAYBE it USED to be but this is a Section 8 prone HOOD! With more white tees and flamin' hots than you would care to see. The news just doesn't report all of the crime that goes on here. Several houses rented out to Section 8 having families, full of children and teenagers who ride up and down the roads on bicycles and commit drug deals and petty thefts making Glenwood a eyesore. Chicago Suburbs.... - 5/4/2008
Livin in the Chigoland area for 23 years i learned that is one of the greatest cities in the world. I personally don't care for the climate as winters tend to be pretty harsh and long lasting.
